Job Description

Coca-Cola Quality Assurance Internship 2024 Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our Manufacturing department. We are looking for talented individuals with relevant skills and experience for an In-Service Quality Assurance, at Phoenix CCBSA. The successful candidate will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

KEY OUTPUT
To conduct quality tests, to compile reports and to communicate out of line specifications so that the quality of the product and package are maintained in line with Company standards, cost are minimized and records are available for audit purposes.

KNOWLEDGE
An understanding of microbiology, chemistry, biochemistry, physics and mathematics related to the food industry, laboratory policy and practices.

Skills, Experience & Education

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics & Physical Science passed with40% (NOT Mathematics Literacy)
  • Two South African Languages passed with 40%
  • Studying towards Microbiology, Biotechnology,Food Technology or related qualification
  • Completed theoretical modules and require practical exposure to complete the qualification
  • Willing to complete In-Service/ Experiential Training in Industry
  • Must not have previously completed an In-Service Trainee programme at another company or organization
Other Requirements
  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must be Employment Equity candidate
  • Must have been unemployed at the time of appointment
  • Must be between 18-35 years of age
  • Candidate must have a letter from the institution requesting work place experience for in order for the candidate to complete their qualification.

Inbound and Outbound Movement

 

In support of the daily load plan, ensure the accurate and picking, staging and loading of product for the purposes of on-time outbound movement, and the accurate counting, receiving and unloading of product for the purposes of inbound movement, whilst ensuring optimal site turnaround time.

Ensure on-time replenishment of picking areas.

Actively work to identify and remove obstacles to improve operational efficiency.

Model Stock adherence

 

Full product, containers, and support materials managed within model stock levels, and adherence to stacking requirements per dedicated bin is enforced.

Execute daily decisions and prioritisation to minimise out of stock scenarios.

Production Interface Management

 

Ensure stock is removed from the production lines / containers are fed to the production lines in such a way that there are no disruptions to the production process, and that all items issued and received are accurately signed off between Warehouse and Manufacturing.

Stock Management

 

Ensure daily stock counts are executed within the team in an accurate and prompt manner, and corrective action where non-compliance is detected.

Ensure the validity of an independent forward and reverse count.

Product Quality Management

 

Ensure high product quality by executing an effective rework function within the team and adhering to the company guidelines in terms of stock rotation and First Expiry, First Out, principles.

Ensure team members handle product in a manner that does not impact the quality of the product.

Drive a strong focus within the team with regards to effective stock rotation and stock age management.

Record all breakages and decanting for the purpose of corrective action and improvement
